Featured in this lot is this bronze sculpture called "Buffalo Hawk," circa 1970's from artist James A. Gruzalski born in 1935 and is an active sculptor out of Arizona. The sculpture features a wonderfully and professionally crafted bronze construction that shows a Native American man in ceremonial garments and a buffalo horn headdress looking off to the distance. The bronze is marked: 4/25 - Gruzalski on the base of the bronze. The bronze comes complete with auction house description tag and a certificate that reads: James A. Gruzalski - This Certifies that the bronze bust of an American Indian titled Buffalo Hawk is authentic and is number 4 of a Limited Edition of 25 pieces. James Gruzalski (Born 1938) is active/lives in Arizona. James Gruzalski is known for Sculptor-historic figure, Indian, animal. From Tucson, Arizona sculptor James Gruzalski has devoted his talents to portraying historic figures, animals, and the American Indian, showing their inherent strength and spirit. The condition of this bronze sculpture is good with no obvious signs of damage and shows good overall condition. The measurements of this bronze sculpture is 20" x 11" x 9".
