Included in this lot we have a set of ornate Japanese geisha accessories with painted storage box. The set shows plastic construction and originate from the early to mid 20th century. The set consists of three different kinds of hair pins as well as a comb. The pins feature detailed ornamentation showing a crane flying over an assortment of water plants with a turtle at the bottom. The pieces come in a black case with the image of a crane taking off with bamboo off to the side, painted in brown and red with some glint gold detailing. The interior shows a turquoise silk lining with stitched images of flowers in bloom. The case shows a brass lock and brass hinges. The hair pins show good condition overall with two showing damage to the crane. The box is in fair condition with visible wear across the piece. The box measures 10 3/4" wide by 7 3/4" deep and 3" tall with the longest of the hair accessories measuring 9 3/8" long and the ornaments measuring 4" wide by 2 1/4" tall by 1 3/4" deep.
