For your consideration is this Japanese, United UC-740 surgical steel fixed blade knife with a horn handle and leather sheath. The knife shows a fixed, spear point style blade with hammered UC-740 surgical steel. The blade is marked on both sides on the ricasso reading, "United / UC-740 Surgical Steel Japan". It shows a brass fitting below the blade and above the horn handle. The horn handle shows colors of black and brown coloring and has a rawhide loop connected to the end of the handle through a drilled hole. It comes in a leather sheath with a plastic guard inserted into the sheath for added protection from the blade. Leather fringe hangs off one side of the leather sheath. The knife and sheath show good condition overall with little wear present and no signs of damage noted. The blade measures 3 5/8" L x 1 1/2" W, while the handle measures 4" L x 1 3/8" W x 1 1/8" D. In the sheath, it measures 10" L x 3" W and weighs 6 ounces.
