Featured in this lot is this beautiful, original limited edition painting done by renowned American artist Jean Richardson (1940-) in 1985. Jean Richardson, a painter and printmaker, was born in Hollis, Oklahoma, in 1940. She is best known for her big, abstract paintings of horses in jewel tones and rich clay hues. This original painting is a limited edition numbered 1 / 1. It shows an abstract view of two figures riding horses. The painting shows colors of red, red / brown, purple, pink, blue, orange, light blue, dark blue and maroon throughout the piece. It is numbered in the bottom left in pencil reading, "1 / 1" and is signed by the artist in pencil in the bottom right hand corner reading, "Richardson '85". The piece is set in a dark wood frame, sits behind glass and has been doubled matted with beige matting paper. It shows good condition overall with little to no wear present and no signs of damage is noted. The visible artwork measures 22" L x 29 3/4" W, while the entire piece measures 31 3/4" L x 39 1/8" W x 1 1/2" D. It has a total weight of 13 pounds and 8 ounces.
