For your consideration is an Original Jessica Zemsky, "Last Christmas At Grandmas", circa late 1900s, watercolour, gouache and crayon collage. Jessica Zemsky (1923-2024) was a Western artist from Big Timber, Montana. She created timeless images, mostly of children, through her colourful imagery and extraordinary perspective on life. Her work often depicted Montana home life in expressive detail. Her art can be found in many public buildings, galleries, and private collections, with 30 original children's portraits gracing the halls of St. Vincent's Pediatric Intensive Care Unit in Billings, Montana. With her then husband, Jack Hines, she established the Northwest Rendezvous of Art in the 1970s. Northwest Rendezvous of Art is one of the Montana Historical Society's largest fundraiser events. This piece depicts six young girls wearing late 19th century early 20th century dresses in a shadowbox format, the "box" being Christmas cards and tied ribbons encircling their images. Mounted in a mottled gold gilt solid wood frame with velvet interior trim, in very nice condition. Visible image measures 23"W x 29"L, frame is 29.25"W x 35.25"L x 1.75"D. Weight is 13lb, 14oz.
