For your consideration is this original watercolor painting done by Cherokee artist Joan Brown (1945-Present), titled "Thoughtful" done in the late 1900s. Joan Brown was born and schooled in Oklahoma. She studied formal painting at Bacone College, a Native American liberal arts college in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Her chosen media are gouache and pencil. Her approach is a gentle and sensitive modification of traditional Indian family dynamics. She is one of five female "Master Artists" at the Five Civilized Tribes Museum in Muskogee, Oklahoma.
