Featured in this lot is an Original Signed Limited Edition of, "John Clymer An artist's rendezvous with the frontier west" by Walt Reed 1976, Northland Press, Flagstaff publisher; #20/61. A beautifully created and produced volume on Clymer and his art with more than sixty full color plates of his finest paintings, numerous black and white reproductions of his superlative pen and ink drawings, and a well-researched text incorporating much personal commentary by Clymer on his life and work. John Ford Clymer RCA, (1907-1989), was an American painter and illustrator known for his nature works featuring the American West. In 1976, Clymer received the Prix de West from the Academy of Western Art. His oils and charcoal drawings earned him awards from the Cowboy Artists of America. He was named Western Artist of the Year by the National Wildlife Art Collectors Society. In 1988, he was awarded the Rungius Medal from the National Museum of Wildlife Art for his painting Late Arrivals, Green River Rendezvous. His work is on permanent exhibit at the Clymer Museum of Art, located at 416 North Pearl Street in Ellensburg, Washington. This signed limited edition book is in extremely fine near-new condition. The leather and cloth ribbed cover is in very good condition, no marring noted. The hard-walled cloth bound box slipcase has gold gilt stamped on leather title on the front cover, slight soiling noted, no other obvious marring noted.
