Included in this lot are Franklin Mint John Deere Pocket Watches (NOS) - Model A, Model D and Model R Tractors in original packaging. Rare, sold out Franklin Mint collectible pocket watches honoring the historic tractors of John Deere. The three are captured in an intricate 3D raised image on the spring action lid. Hand-painted in the world-famous green and yellow of John Deere, set within a circular frame that resembles a tractor tire. The watch face bears the John Deere logo, and etched inside the lid, the tractor's name and brief description. Accents of sterling silver are applied to the lid, frame, and stem. Three hand quartz Japanese movement, 2 inch diameter. Minted brass authenticity Franklin Mint Pocket Watches seal is set in the reverse of the watch. Come with leather carrying pouch and chain. The John Deere Model A was John Deere's first true row-crop tractor with an adjustable wheel tread, it revolutionized American farming and became the company's most popular tractor of all time, selling over 300,000 units during its 18-year production run. The Model D holds a monumental place in agricultural history as the very first mass-produced tractor built, marketed, and named strictly as a "John Deere," replacing the older Waterloo Boy line and helping rural America transition from horsepower to mechanical tillage. John Deere Model R was a historic milestone in agricultural machinery, serving as John Deere's first-ever diesel-powered tractor. Manufactured between 1949 and 1954 in Waterloo, Iowa, it was the largest, heaviest, and most powerful tractor the company had ever built up to that time, marking the grand finale of John Deere's legendary letter-series lineage. Pocket watches are in New Old Stock condition in original packaging, each box measures 9.125"H x 5.125"W x 4.625"D, collective weight is 1lb, 4oz.
