The chief is shown wearing a eagle feather headdress with great detail in the face and headdress. The landscape shows two buttes in the background with a four horse covered wagon driving across the valley floor. The piece is signed in the bottom right hand corner reading "J Stanford". The painting is set in a wonderful gold painted frame. The piece is in good condition overall. The frame measures 28" wide by 32" tall.
