Featured in this lot is this Jose Rodriguez silver mounted ring bridle bit out of Amozoc, Puebla, Mexico circa 20th century. This is one of the most intricate FUNCTIONAL bridle bits on the market; with fans of this bridle bit involved in Charro Culture, Reining, Cutting, and most High Performance Horsemanship communities. The bridle bit shows blued steel finish with distinctive scalloped edges and silver inlay into and silver mounting with classic western stamping decoration. The bridle bit design is a halfbreed with a cricket and narrower port that includes the bridle ring instead of a spade mouthpiece. The bridle bit is marked with the Jose Rodriguez hallmark showing a scalloped circle with a 'JR' in the center. The condition of this bridle bit is well preserved with some slight oxidation to exposed segments of the bit but otherwise shows a well preserved overall condition. The measurements of this bridle bit is 9" x 5 7/8" x 2 1/2. The collective weight of this western bit is 1lb 14oz.
