Featured in this lot is this Joseph De Vern Born in 1956 Santo Domingo Pueblo ring. The ring features a wonderfully and professionally crafted sterling silver construction that shows a rectangular face and shows a three split shoulder ring band. The ring shows a tooled slightly shadowbox design of a pueblo hut with a ladder coming out the top and shows the iconic Joseph Coriz gold circle in the decoration. The ring is marked as follows: JDC. Joseph Coriz is a highly respected jewelry artist from the Santo Domingo Pueblo (also known as Kewa Pueblo) in New Mexico. He is known for his unique combination of traditional Native American jewelry techniques with contemporary designs, often incorporating deep cultural symbolism into his work. Joseph Coriz’s jewelry is highly valued in Native American art markets and by collectors, and it has been featured in various prestigious exhibitions and galleries.
