Featured in this lot is this Joseph Johnson painted skull and Occidentalis skull. There are two skulls in this collection with the first shows a fully painted design of an American Flag backdrop with a painted Native man in ceremonial garments. The bottom of the skull is signed as follows: Joseph Johnson - 05. The second skull shows a fossilized occidentalis preserved cow skull with a crack in the skull at the top but otherwise preserved. The condition of this pair cow skulls is preserved with some wear and discoloration to the skulls and the skulls missing some pieces to it. The measurements of these skulls is 6 1/4" x 17 1/2" x 8 1/2" and 6 3/4" x 18" x 13". The collective weight of this collection of cow skulls is 7lb 12oz.
