This is an excellent handwoven, flat weave rug by master weaver Luis Hernandez. This rug was made using 100% soft, fine, handspun yarns in a beautiful Kaibito Two Grey Hills pattern. The rug was handwoven with a tight weave using 100% handspun wool yarns that offer natural variegation and durability with color fast aniline dyes. The tight, handwoven weave displays bright, rich tones in the fine Kaibito Two Grey Hills style pattern of the time-honored Zapotec, multi-generational craft by a master weaver, Luis Hernandez. The rug shows a phenomenal Navajo style, Two Grey Hills Kaibito Red pattern with a wonderful rendition of the Navajo Two Grey Hills style; it has a black border and slight eye dazzler decoration with light brown coloration just inside the border. The rug also shows a red field with a large centralized medallion in black with light brown accents and a stepped design of light brown and red in the center of the medallion. The rug has four braided, black wool tassels. The piece is brand new, in pristine condition, with a fine, tight weave. The rug measures 4’ by 6’ (4 foot by 6 foot). This is a brand-new rug.
