The lot features a fully beaded strike-a-lite bag in the style and manner of the Kiowa Native American Indians. The bag shows a harness saddle leather with glass trade seed beads in a geometric tight pattern in opaque white, red, greasy blue, light blue and red white hearts in a petit size and seed beads on the rear later added pearlescent beads. The bag shows long fringe with contemporary glass beads and bone hair pipe beads and small rolled tin jingle cones and a nickel silver five-point star. The bag shows an older manufacturer with sinew sewing and nice patina that was later contemporarily altered and added to. The piece comes with a later added early 1800’s forged striker, flint and lighting material. The bag shows some bead loss. The measurements of this strike-a-lite beaded bag are 15" x 3 3/4".
