For your consideration is this 1866 illustrated copy of Kit Carson Life and Adventures by Charles Burdett, and published by J. Edwin Potterm, Philadelphia, 1866. This book of the life of Kit Carson: the great western hunter and guide comprising of wild and romantice exploits as a hunter and trapper in the Rocky Mountains; thrilling adventures and hair breadth escpaes among the indians and Mexicans; his daring and invaluable services as a guide to scouting and other parties. It also includes an account of various government expeditions to the far west. The spine shows a gold gilt lettering on a faded blue cover. The condition of this book is good considering age and use with signs of wear on the cover. The binding and spine are tight. The measurements of this book are 7 1/2" x 5".
