For your consideration is this Klenda's Custom Saddles leather tapaderos, circa 1960's, made by Bob Klenda. The tapaderos are an important tool for range cowboys and buckaroos. This particular pair shows fantastic sturdy construction, with thick leather forming the outer shell and a good example of hand crafted monels apart of the interior of these tapaderos. The tapaderos shows Bob Klenda's maker’s mark, identifying the age by the location of his saddle shop shown in the maker’s mark on the face of the tapaderos. The condition of these tapaderos is good, with no obvious signs of damage and wear consistent with age and usage. The tacks along the toe seam show a nice patina, but overall the tapaderos are in good, usable condition. The measurements of these tapaderos are 11" x 7 1/2" x 8" overall for each unit.
