Featured in this lot is this Knights of Columbus Sam G. Calderhead ornate sword. The sword features a wonderfully and professionally crafted stainless steel, nickel and bone construction. The sword is full of Knights of Columbus traditional and ceremonial imagery with ricasso of the Knights Templar with Jeruselm in the background and gothic geometric patterns with a hilt with side ways triangles and shows the Hermetic Cross in a triangle on the hilt symbolizing the the Golden Dawn. The sword is marked on the blade and on the sheath as follows: Seattle Commandery No.2 - K.C. - Seattle - Wash. - Sam G. Calderhead - The Henderson Ames Co. - Kai Amazoo Mich. The condition of this Knights of Columbus sword is well preserved with with a slight patina adorning the blade and the sheath but otherwise is well preserved. The measurements of this sword in its sheath is 37 1/4" x 5 1/8" x 1" and the blade length is 29".
