Featured in this lot is this Knights Templar / Masonic Fraternity sword from the 1970-80s. The sword features a wonderfully and professionally crafted stainless steel blade, brass guard & pommel and bone handle construction showing a knights head on the pommel. The brass guard is simple yet shows an elegant design. It sits loosely on the blade and above the handle. The handle is constructed from carved bone showing small ridges going around the handle. The scabbard features a leather over metal construction and shows brass components at the bottom. Brass rings hold brass chains that connect to a belt for hanging on the waist. The sword shows good condition overall with some wear present from its age and use over the years, but no major signs of damage is noted. The guard is loose but not completely detached. From the top of the guard to the bottom of the pommel it measures 7 1/4" L with the width of the guard measuring 5". The blade measures 25 1/4" L x 1" (at the ricasso). The entire sword measures 31 1/2" L (without scabbard). The entire piece measures 32 5/8" L with the scabbard on. It has a total weight of 3 pounds and 4 ounces.
