For sale in this lot is a collection of approximately 3,185 L.A. Huffman postcards from his 1926, 50th anniversary Battle of Little Big Horn commemorative series. The series originally consisted of 15 cards, this lot features new old stock cards from series #'s 1, 2, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, and 14.Each card is marked "å© L. A. HUFFMAN, MILES CITY, MONTANA". The series was originally created for the June 25th, 1926 50th anniversary celebration - When the delivery of the cards was late, they failed to sell successfully outside of the event. One thousand of each card was originally printed. The set shows very good condition overall, each card showing some browning from age. The approximate estimate is intentionally conservative - and could realistically contain up to 3,500-4,000 cards. The cards are stored, and will ship in eight cardboard boxes - each box measuring 13" x 6" x 3 3/4".
