For your consideration is this late 19th century Lakeside Foundry Co. Chicago, Illinois No.2 upright bell. The Lakeside Foundry was located in Detroit, Michigan, United States. It still stands, although is no longer in business. It is on Lycaste St. South of Jefferson between Jefferson and Freud between St. Jean and Clairpointe. It opened in the late nineteenth century and was owned and operated by Alexander Russel Keys Sr. The bell shows all its workable parts with a long lead line for using the bell. The bell is marked 'Lakeside Foundry Co. Chicago' and 'No.2 Upright.' The condition of this bell is good considering its age and its exposure to the elements. The bell sports some chipping to the bell paint but the bell itself is intact. The measurements of this bell are 30" x 21" x 16".
