Featured in this lot is this Lakota Sioux buffalo herd polychrome painted drum. The piece shows a wetted and stretched buffalo hide parfleche with an old bent willow wood hoop frame that is sewn with rawhide/sinew. The drum is polychrome painted, showing a roaming herd of three Great American Bison Buffalo. The piece shows a patina. The piece is attributed to Lakota Sioux American Indians. The condition of this painted drum is good, showing no obvious signs of damage. This is a contemporary drum. The measurements of this drum are 3" x 20 1/2" x 20 1/2".
