This is an outstanding authentic original set of fully top beaded Lakota Sioux Native American Indian moccasins dating to the 19th Century. These circa 1875-1885 moccasins shows a parfleche rawhide hard soles base with Indian tanned Bison Great American Buffalo hide construction that is sinew sewn. The entire top of the moccasins shows a wonderful "Buffalo Track" geometric traditional design done in all 1800's period correct glass trade seed beads having a cobalt and chalk white coloring. The front of the moccasins have a wonderful Buffalo track design which is accented by various diamond symbols and a single stripe ankle having a medium height. The moccasins show the original large tongue with the original Indian tanned hide tie straps still intact, a wonderful addition. Provenance: From a large American Indian antique collection out of Minden, Nevada. The top of the moccasins are entirely sinew sewn, another attribute to its wonderful authentic age. The moccasins show a 10.5"L soles by 4"W by 3.25"H ankle.
