Featured in this lot is this Lakota Sioux Ghost Dance rawhide Parfleche drum. The drum shows classic design and is believed to from the 1950's. The drum shows a naturally dyed polychrome decoration of bull horns and rays of blue, black, and orange. The rawhide drum face is secured with sinew strings on the back side. The condition of this drum is fair, with slight sundering of the rawhide and a minor repair with sinew twine. The measurements of this drum are 3 1/4" x 12 1/2" x 12".
