For your consideration is this rare Lakota Sioux Native American Indian wearing blanket with fully beaded strip. The blanket features hand woven vegetal dyed wool in a solid red and having a khaki border around the entire perimeter. Down the center on one side is a 27" x 2.25" fully beaded strip. The bead work shows different designs in 2.5"-7" blocks. The colors used are Chalk White, Navy Blue, and Orange. Also of note is the way the blanket was woven. Having been woven on a smaller loom, two separate weavings were combined to make a larger blanket. The two halves were joined together using a technique that almost makes it look zippered together. The blanket bears an old tag on one corner that attributes the piece to the 1920's. The piece does show some tattering in one corner and considerable wear. The blanket measures
