Featured in this lot is this after-Frederic Remington (born 1861 and passed 1909) bronze called "Rattlesnake." Frederic Remington is considered one of the most prolific and important Western artists of the 19th century. His works are immensely valuable, and his style is highly sought after. The bronze features a cowboy riding a horse starting to rear away from a snake on the ground. The bronze features lifelike characteristics and shows wonderful texturing to the horse's mane and wooly chaps of the cowboy. The artist signature can be seen on the base of the bronze and shows a brass plaque on the front of the marble base. The condition of this large bronze is good with no obvious signs of damage and in good overall condition. The measurements of this bronze are 22 1/4" x 10" x 16".
