The lot features a late-1800’s Lakota Sioux beaded Buffalo Bison horn cup from an ex-Museum East Coast collection. The piece exhibits a large Buffalo Bison horn with Indian brain-tanned buffalo hide strips covered in period-1800’s glass trade beadwork bands at the center and bottom as well as a small holding chain attached at the top. The beadwork shows a greasy light blue, red white heart and chalk white central beaded section and the bottom section shows chalk white, cobalt, corn yellow and semi-transparent red. Provenance: From an ex-Museum East Coast collection where the piece was on display.
