For your consideration is this deer antler tomahawk made by Leonard & Laurie Many Trails in the 20th Century, from the Many Trails Collection at the former Indian Nation Trading Post in Livingston, Montana. This tomahawk features a solid wood shaft, tacked and beaded throughout the lower and middle of the shaft. The beaded section shows yellow, light green, blue, red, lilac and orange beads. Above the beaded section is a tuft section of fur sitting below the shaft of the axe. The shaft is adorned with three turkey feathers with colors of black and white, connected by rawhide strips set with trade and painted beads. The head of the axe is marked reading, "L & C". The bottom of the axe is adorned with a tow point antler, held to the shaft with a rawhide wrap. The piece shows good condition overall with little wear present and no signs of damage noted. It measures 30" L x 8" W x 5 3/4" D and weighs 1 pound and 10 ounces. TURKEY FEATHERS
