Featured in this lot is this leather wrapped and brass head tomahawk pipe made by Chippewa / Cree artists, Leonard & Laurie Many Trails in the 20th century, from the Many Trails Collection at the former Indian Nation Trading Post in Livingston, Montana. The tomahawk features a wood shaft, wrapped with rawhide leather and an animal fur towards the top near the head of the axe. The bottom of the shaft is set with a wood pipe piece. The rawhide wrap features numerous long strips of rawhide with brown feathers and trade beads. The piece shows good condition overall with no wear or damage present. It measures 19 1/8" L x 8 7/8" W x 1 1/4" D and weighs 1 pound and 8 ounces. TURKEY FEATHERS
