Featured in this lot is this limited edition print titled, "Cans at 6:03 a.m." originally done by Les C. Kouba (1917-1998). This is a limited edition print signed by the artist and numbered. The numbering is faded but can be made out to be a limited edition of 500. Les C. Kouba (1917–1998) was a notable American wildlife artist, writer, and outdoorsman, recognized for pioneering the wildlife art revival in the 1970s, capturing Minnesota's natural beauty, and merging agricultural Americana with wildlife, earning him the label "Norman Rockwell of Wildlife Art". From his farming upbringing, he developed profound insight, perfected commercial art talents at D.W. Onan, invented the Art-O-Graph, and became a recognized painter noted for waterfowl, farm scenery and conservation activities. This print shows a flock of ducks flying over marsh lands in the early morning. A hint of light is in the background, as the sun is about to breach the horizon. It is marked in the bottom left with the limited eiditon number out of 500 and signed in pencil by the artist in the bottom right hand corner. The bottom middle of the print reads, "Cans at 6:03 a.m. / By Les C. Kouba". It is set in a wood frame and sits behind glass to preserve its condition. It shows good condition overall with the wood frame showing some wear from its age and use over the years. No major signs of damage is noted. The visible print measures 20 1/2" L x 27" W, while the entire piece measures 27 1/8" L x 33 1/2" W x 1 1/2" D. It has a total weight of 12 pounds.
