Featured in this lot is this LiIllustration Samedi 27, Decembre 1890 engraved journal. The journal features publications and engraving of the Indian uprising and the war dance of the Blackfeet; a few days before Wounded Kneww, the European press published many sensational articles about the prospects of a new Indian War in the United States and includes a beautiful engraving by Frederic Remington showing the Sun Dance. The condition of this French illustrated journal is well preserved for its age with some browning to the pages and some smudges to the pages and the staple marks along the outside edge and is missing late pages. The measurements of this journal is 15 3/4" x 11 3/4".
