Included in this lot are two original Lily Tolpo oil paintings, Two Medicine Peak 1958, and Desert Balancing Rock 1970s. Lily Tolpo (1917-2015) was the wife of artist Carl Tolpo. She was known as an American painter, sculptor, and designer who worked from Illinois studios for over six decades. The first oil painting is named "Two Medicine Peak" depicting the stunning Two Medicine Lake and Sinopah Mountain that is located in the southeastern section of Glacier National Park. This piece is signed "Aug 2-1958 Lily Tolpo" at the bottom right of the painting. The second oil painting is named "Desert Balanced Rock". This 1970s Southwestern desert landscape painting by Lily Tolpo, portrays the Arizona desert land with boulders in balance, sagebrush and Suguaro Cactus in the brilliant hot sun. These paintings measure 16" by 12".
