Featured in this lot is this Lost Lake point from Peoria County Illinois from the Early Archaic Period and aged from 9,000 - 8,500 B.P. The point features a larger triangular corner notch point construction with a near rhomboid example and a re-sharpened edge. The shoulders are barbed and have a distinctive rounded appearance; the stem is expanding and the edge shows a slightly serrated example. The point was knapped from a milky white chert material. The condition of this point is good, with no obvious signs of damage. The measurements of this point are 3 7/8" x 1 3/4" x 1/4".
