Featured in this lot we have a Lucius W. Pond separate chamber front loading revolver chambered in .22 cal and originates for the 1860's. The revolver features a 3 1/2" long octagonal barrel, six shot front loading cylinder, brass frame, spur trigger, and walnut grips. The top of the barrel is marked in faded lettering reading "LUCIUS W. POND WORCHESTER MASS PATD SEPT 18 1863". The hammer shows good mechanical functionality with the cylinder not mechanically rotating with the action. The revolver displays a unique front loading separate chamber system and under barrel ram rod/ ejector rod. The pistol shows good condition overall with wear due to use and a small chip in the walnut grips. Serial Number: 1543. This firearm qualifies as an Antique, and does not require FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check.
