Featured in this lot we have a Lyman Byxbe etching titled 'Bear Lake' originating from circa 1948. The etching shows the surface of Bear Lake in the foreground with a number of rock protruding out of the waters surface. The background up from the lake shows reeds, bushes, and small trees shift to expanding pine forest with the Bear River Mountains set behind the trees. The piece was created by artist Lyman Byxbe an American artist known for his nature landscapes primarily of the north west United States. The etching is signed across the bottom in pencil "Bear Lake - Lyman Byxbe". The piece is in good condition overall with some wear on the frame indicative of age. The frame measures 8 3/4" wide by 7 1/4" tall.
