This is an original handmade bowie hunting knife from the Montana Territory Knives of Bozeman, Montana. The piece features a D2 high-carbon, high-chromium, air hardening tool steel that makes for an effective combination of wear resistance and toughness. The knife has been forged from D2 Tool Steel and shows an iconic Bowie Knife large size. The piece has been paired with an fine set of Montana Steer horn grip scales which are set off by matched steer horn bolsters. The bolster and handle are pinned in brass and steel and show a large mosaic brass and copper pin at the center with a brass lanyard hole at the rear. The knife has been paired with a Great American Bison Buffalo leather hand crafted sheath which has been partially hand tooled. The knife is in brand new condition and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity along with a Lifetime warranty. The blade is marked with the “MONTANA TERRITORY KNIVES BOZEMAN MONTANA” stamping which shows the outline of Montana. The knife measures overall 10 1/2” in length with the blade being 5 3/4”.
