The knife also features a set of polished steel bolsters. The tang and knife spine have been artfully hand vine filled. Smokey Bear was adopted by the U.S. Forest Service back in the 1940's as part of their campaign to prevent forest fires. He quickly became a staple promoting fire safety and awareness and quickly became a beloved icon. The blade is marked with the “MONTANA TERRITORY KNIVES BOZEMAN MONTANA” stamping which shows the outline of Montana. The knife has been paired with a geniune leather hand crafted sheath.
