Available in this lot is a M1892 Springfield US knife bayonet originating from the early 1900's. The knife was designed to fit the M1903 Springfield rifle. The bayonet shows a steel blade with a steel guard and pommel and a wood grip. The blade displays a primary cutting edge with a fuller running the length of the blade. The grip shows wood siding with a metal attachment point. The guard is marked across the side, reading "0531". The bayonet shows very good condition overall and some light wear. It comes with its original metal sheath. The bayonet measures 16 3/4" long, with the blade being 11 3/4" long.
