This is an exceptional heavily tooled floral carved leather saddle with silver adornments from MacPherson Saddlery. The saddle features a wonderfully and professionally crafted leather construction that features a Cheyenne roll seat back and wonderfully tooled and carved floral decoration to the skirt along the side walling of the fenders and a rough out padded seat and is marked with a plaque the reads CLS on a silver overlay plaque and shows nickel silver conchos attached to the saddle strings base. The makers mark can be seen under the front section of skirt and reads as follows: MacPherson - Maker. The condition of this saddle is good with no obvious signs of damage and in good overall condition. This saddle cost over $4,000 and is truly a work of art. Likely the Roper Model 597 which is used by many Mounted Police units around the U.S. The measurements of this saddle are 40" x 26" x 17 1/2" and the seat size is 14 1/2".
