For your consideration is a Mahan Family Fireman Badge from the Baker City, Oregon Fire Department, circa 19th century. The badge shows a shield frame with a strip diagonally situated in between two nozzles. This badge belonged to the Mahan family out of Baker City, Oregon. The badge shows debossed lettering, reading “Baker City - Fireman - Fire Dept.”, with two debossed nozzles shown on the face. The condition of this bade is good, with no obvious signs of damage; the badge shows slight patina to the back of the badge. The measurements of this fireman badge are 1 3/4" x 1 1/2".
