Featured in this lot is this Quad Quartz grandfather clock by Maitland Smith hand made in the Philippines circa 1990's. The clock features a wonderfully and professionally crafted handmade Mahongany and other hardwoods with burl veneer decorations and quality finish construction. The grandfather clock shows a main compartments for the pendulum weights with a compartment opening in the back for the mechanism. The clock also features a hidden compartment with two doors at the foot on either side of the clock. The mechanism that swings the pendulum weights is connected to a speak that plays a "Tubular Chime", and comes complete with the instruction manual for the Quad Quatrz movement. The panels of the clack body are decorated with sheet iron that is stamped, tooled, and textured with geometric patterns that include floral arrangements; and shows the front door with a circular window. The back of the clock is marked with a plaque as follows: Maitrland-Smith - Handmade in Philippines - Maitland-Smith. The condition of this grandfather clock is preserved with some wear to the back door to the Quad Quartz movement and is missing the weights for the body compartment but otherwise shows a preserved overall condition.
