Featured in this lot we have a Manhattan Firearms percussion cap revolver chambered in .32 caliber. The revolver displays 6 1/2" long octagonal barrel, single action action, 5 shot engraved cylinder, walnut grips, brass back strap, brass trigger guard, and under barrel ram rod. The top of the barrel is marked reading "MANHATTAN FIREARMS CO. NEWARK N. J. PATENTED MARCH 8. 1864". The cylinder displays five etched medallion designs with military scenes and the medallions bordered with floral designs. The barrel and cylinder shows faint remnants of a blue'd finish. The revolver shows working mechanical condition with tight action and crisp trigger. The revolver shows good condition overall with some wear across the exterior due to age and use. The pistol weighs 1lb 14oz. Serial Number: 57239. This firearm qualifies as an Antique, and does not require FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check.
