For your consideration is this rare, 1880 Map of the Mining Claims Adjoining Leadville, compiled from official records by Page Nicholas & Company, Civil and Mining Engineers, copy-righted by Page Nicholas 1880. This map shows various claims in and around the area of Leadville during one of its major mining booms. Some of the claims are slightly colored with yellow and light blue coloring. The title, author and copy-right are set in the bottom left hand corner. The map shows extensive signs of wear with creases, slight tears, staining and fading present, but is still in good readable condition. The map measures 39 1/2" L x 55 1/4" W and weighs 12 ounces.
