Featured in this lot is an oil-on-board painting, titled "Santa Fe Street Scene", by Marianna Sloan. Marianna Sloan (1875-1954) was an American painter and artist known for her landscapes and street scenes. This piece displays a Santa Fe street scene, showing five buildings and a few figures moving along the street. The painting shows wonderful color and excellent art style. It is signed in the bottom right-hand corner reading, "Marianna Sloan". The painting is set into a custom, golden frame with an art gallery tag on the back. Provenance: From the renowned Sundog Fine Art Bozeman, Montana collection and collected by Bruce VanLandingham. Bruce VanLandingham was a pillar in the American Indian collecting community and a respected expert. Along with being an avid collector, Bruce also was the sole owner of Sundog Fine Art Gallery in Bozeman, which was part museum and gallery. The piece shows good condition overall, with some light wear across the frame. The frame measures 25 1/2" wide by 21 1/2" tall with the art measuring 19 1/4" wide by 15 1/4" tall.
