Available in this lot is an early Marlin Model 1893 Lever-Action rifle, chambered in .30-30. The rifle utilizes a 26" full octagon barrel, crescent butt, rear buckhorn rear sight, new walnut fixtures, and a nickel finish. The rifle reads "Marlin Fire-Arms CO. New Haven. CT, U.S.A. - Patented, OCT. 11. 1887. APRIL 2. 1889. AUGUST 1. 1893", on the top of the barrel, "Marlin Safety" on the top of the receiver, “Model 1893” on the tang and showing the serial number on the bottom of the frame. Overall, the rifle shows fair condition, with a nice patina to the finish, and nice new walnut fixtures. The action is smooth, and strong rifling with a manufacture date of 1895. Serial Number: 129978. This firearm qualifies as an Antique, and does not require FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check.
