Featured in this lot is this Mata Ortiz Mogollon "Black on Black" olla pot by artist Lidia Lucero. The olla pot shows a wonderful eye dazzler maze style decoration with a unique opening at the top of the pot. Mata Ortiz pottery is a recreation of the Mogollon pottery found in and around the archeological site of Casas Grandes (Paquimé) in the Mexican state of Chihuahua. The condition of this olla pot is good, with no obvious signs of damage. The measurements of this olla pot are 3" x 3" x 3".
