This is an exceptional American hand built primitive beadboard mercantile cabinet hutch from the 19th Century. The haberdashery cabinet is constructed out of beadboard pine and originates from around the late 1800’s to early 1900's. The piece shows three large windowed storage areas, along with four solid door storage areas. The hutch uses a combination of twist or slide latches. The piece shows original white and red paint across the hutch. The hutch is in good condition overall with some chipping and wear in the paint. It also shows some wear on the wood in places. The piece measures 72" wide by 74 1/2" tall by 24" deep. This would have been displayed behind the counter in an early Old West Country Store and is truly a rare piece. One of the finer early Primitive Beadboard American Mercantile cabinets we have offered for sale.
