Featured in this lot is this Mexican pescado and banded wool rug pair circa 1960's. There are two rugs in this collection. The first is an authentic Mexican fish pattern rug or la manta del pescado and shows a segmented field of blue, light blue, and salmon with a red, maroon, and teal fish at its top and shows fringe on both sides of the rug. The second is a traditional Mexican banded wool rug that shows a off white and heathered maroon banded field with bands of red, light brown, black and checkered red and black decoration. The condition of this pair of Mexican rugs is preserved with some wear to the banded design rug but otherwise shows a preserved overall condition. The measurements of the rugs are 26 1/2" x 14" and 57" x 25 1/2".
