For your consideration is this Mexican tortilla press or prensa de tortilla, circa early 1900's. This tortilla press shows a fire hardened soft wood with iron brackets and hinges. A tortilla press is a traditional device with a pair of flat, round surfaces of about 8-inch plus to crush balls of corn dough in order to obtain round corn tortillas or flour tortillas. The condition of this tortilla press is fair; it doesn't show any obvious signs of damage and is in good working condition. The measurements of this tortilla press are 9" x 19" x 7 1/2".
