Featured in this lot is a wonderful 1930'-50's Mexican Saltillo medallion Zapotec woven rug or blanket. It shows a wonderful geometric medallion pattern in the center with multicolored striations going across the piece. The rug was made using 100% soft, fine, hand spun yarns. The tight hand-woven weave displays bright rich tones in the fine Saltillo pattern of the time-honored Zapotec style. The rug shows a wide gradient of colors across the rug, including red, purple, blue, orange, pink, white, black, grey, and turquoise. The rug is in good condition overall, with little to no signs of damage. It measures 54" wide by 85" long.
