For your consideration is this silver plated swivel curb western bit and basket tooled headstall shown from the mid 1900's. The bit is decorated with tooled silver plating along the shank with western style tooling and a small figure of a rider on a bucking horse. The bit adorning this headstall is considered a curb bit with a swivel to the curb and a slobber chain on the bottom of the shank. The headstall is decorated with basket woven tooling along the cheek pieces and is also studded with silver and silver conchos on rossettes of leather. The headstall and bit are in good condition with some oxidation to the bit from age and wear. The measurements of this bit and headstall are 26" from brow band of headstall to bottom of shank with bit measurements of 7 1/2" x 5".
